Over the Rhine - Go OTR

Due to a series of road detours yesterday, Susan and I ended up at this small festival in Over the Rhine. There were about a dozen booths of artists showing their wares, excellent live music, several food booths, and most importantly, a Moerlein beer truck.

There was a decent crowd, but not suitable of the event and weather. It was associated with a 5k that took place in the morning, and I don't think they did a good job of promoting the street festival part. I couldn't even find the name of the band, who rocked pretty hard.

It was a good chance for Susan and I to fire up the new camera though. We got a few very good shots, and I'm including some less than perfectly composed shots to give an idea of the event.

Wish I knew the name of this band... they were pretty terrific.

This gentleman was enjoying the tunes... and was most photogenic.

Hipsters in their natural habitat.

Main Street looking North

A flattering shot of Cincinnati's finest. And Main Street looking South.

I caught this little tyke just as (she?) was reacting to a dog. I was almost as excited to have caught it. And nice hat!

The lovely Susan, watching the band and looking lovely.

Mmmm Moerlein

Many of our pictures suffered from poor lighting, but the sun came out long enough to show off this artist's pottery.

This artist was a mater of all relevant visual media: canvas painting, bottle painting, and mustache sculpting.

Hopefully I'll manage to keep this blog going in the future, but I promise no regularity whatsoever!
